parkside (formerly Four Point Puzzles) was founded in 2019 by Lindsay Stead. Lindsay’s extensive background in design including management in graphic design / product design as well as an artistic practice in textile design, means that our business has always been very design forward. You can see this in our puzzle artwork, packaging design and website. Lindsay is also a life-long puzzler and it is this unique combination of interests and experiences that adds so much value to our company. 

Driven by a desire to create puzzles that are unique and beautiful, we are proud to offer a large selection of puzzles featuring artwork from artists around the world. We prefer to have a very human element to our puzzles so we never use AI generated images. We also lean towards artwork that is created by hand (hand drawn, painted or crafted) as opposed to artwork that is digitally created. 

• Have very low minimums to ensure smaller stores can access our puzzles.

• Keep an up to date retailer map on our website so that our customers can find you.

• Present consistent messaging to our customer base, urging them to shop local.

• Keep our puzzles off of third party sites (such as Amazon), to ensure our retail partners have something unique to offer their customers.

• Direct shipping from our warehouse means that all orders ship within 24 hours.

• We offer net 30 terms to any repeat customers.

• We have a wholesale portal on our website for retailers who want to order online and pay by credit card or paypal.

We care deeply about sustainability and how our puzzle production impacts the environment. We keep setting the bar higher for ourselves and are proud to produce puzzles at the highest possible level of environmental sustainability in our industry.

• Starting in 2025 all of our puzzles will be made from FSC Mixed paper products (previously a recycled mix). This designation means that all components of our puzzles and puzzle boxes will be a mixture of recycled content and FSC certified content.

• Starting in 2025 all of our puzzle pieces will come in paper bags. This change means that our puzzles will now be 100% plastic free (previous titles have pieces in plastic bags).

• All inks and glues are environmentally friendly and from natural origins

• We are now printing all of our puzzles in The Netherlands. Printing our puzzles closer to Canada will lessen our carbon footprint when we import our puzzles. In addition, our new, state-of-the-art factory adheres to very high environmental standards including factory heating from excess machine energy as opposed to additional heat sources and no fossil fuel based electricity. They also source 90% of their raw materials from within the Netherlands to further reduce their carbon footprint.

• Matte finish on puzzle pieces to eliminate glare when assembling the puzzle.

• A variety of puzzle piece shapes which improves the puzzling experience by ensuring there are no “false fits”.

• High quality / high resolution images.

• Thick and sturdy boxes with a matte finish ensures that the boxes will stand up over time and look great on store shelves.

• The front of our boxes have a full, uninterrupted image of the puzzle artwork.
